Two of the largest technology companies focused on not-for-profits in the UK have partnered on a new integration that is set to save time and improve data quality for charities.
Not-for-profit software and services provider Blackbaud and online giving platform JustGiving have connected their respective APIs (application programming interfaces) so Blackbaud customers can import donor and supporter data directly from JustGiving.
The ability to download JustGiving data will save valuable time and resource for not-for-profits, as well as significantly improve the quality of their data. JustGiving supports 8,000 charities and more than £1 billion has been raised through the platform.
This integration will give member charities a faster, easier way to process and manage their supporter data by connecting JustGiving with their existing fundraising database.
The first user of the new integration is ABF The Soldier’s Charity, which provides lifetime support to serving and retired soldiers and their families.
“So many of our supporters use JustGiving for fundraising around their special events but we are also long-standing users of the Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge CRM system,” said Oliver Davey, data and business intelligence manager, ABF The Soldier’s Charity.
“The ability to download our JustGiving data into The Raiser’s Edge will be a big time saver for us and ensures we can make more effective use of that data to better understand our donors and raise more funds. It currently looks like a much better solution than any other I have used before.”
Data can now be downloaded at the click of a button directly into The Raiser’s Edge, or for organisations that prefer to do so manually there are semi-automation tools available.
